About Marugame Castle
Marugame Castle, built in 1660, is famous for its tallest stone wall in Japan. The height of stone wall is about 60 meters.
The existing castle tower is valuable as it was at the time of construction.
Marugame Castle is under threat of collapse in 1615. It is said that the lord at that time hid the castle with trees and severely restricted its access, protecting the castle from destruction.
